BSB42618 Certificate IV in New Small Business Course Assessments

As part of your training course, you need to submit assessments in order to demonstrate competency in the course you are training for.

You will be assessed for each unit of competency using a variety of tasks, questions, case studies, practical activities and scenarios to assess your skills, knowledge and understanding of the course content.  The number of assessment activities varies per course.  For technical skills courses, assessments include forms and photographs of your work.

The fastest and simplest way to submit your assessments is electronically.  We choose to use Dropbox for this function, as you can download a Dropbox App on your phone, meaning you can take photographs of your case study clients and forms and upload them straight to us – all on your phone.  You can also access Dropbox on a computer or other device using a web browser.

When you enrol in a training course with us, we create a training record folder in your name. This folder contains sub-folders for all Case Studies and Assessments required for your individual course.

Your Trainer will send an Invitation to share your folder with us via Dropbox. This allows you to upload your forms and photographs directly to your training record. Your Trainer can then provide feedback to you on your uploaded assessments via Comment in Dropbox, keeping all records of your training in one convenient place.

The benefits to you are:

  • You can see at a glance what assessments are required
  • Easily check your records to make sure you have submitted everything
  • Review Trainer comments on your assessments in one location
  • No need to scan documents before uploading.

Assessments will be returned within 7 days of submission.

BSB42618 Certificate IV in New Small Business Duration

This course is designed to be completed within 12 to 24 months. We provide you up to two years to complete all required assessments.

We take you through everything step by step so you won’t feel overwhelmed. But if you’re a fast learner and highly organised, there’s no reason you can’t get through at an accelerated pace – although certification will take a bit longer as you build your business plan, get your case studies and knowledge questions together and submit for assessment!

How long you take may depend on:

  • For online delivery, whether your salon environment is already established and meets the requirements for independent study. We provide you with details on what you need in our Student Information Handbook when you enrol with us. If you need time to set up first, we can provide tips during your face to face training on the type of equipment you need and where to find it.
  • For academy delivery, when you book your technical skills courses from the available dates.  If you choose to complete your case studies in Student Clinics at the Academy, completion will depend on how quickly you move through your assessments and achieve competency.
  • Your personal circumstances. If you have existing commitments, or an illness or disability that means you need to complete your assessments over a longer period, just let us know in advance so we can adjust your program.
  • Your personal efforts in submitting assessments on time and correctly.

TESTIMONIAL: Enchanted SPA is REALLY changing lives

Sophia shares her experience with our Beauty Business Builder program

“Enchanted Spa and their online course Beauty Business Builder has been one of the best things I’ve EVER done. It’s taught me everything about lashes and brows but not only that, they’ve taught me how to work for myself, start MY OWN business and get my life up and running. I have a disability which effects my day to day tasks like working full time and making a living for myself. It’s something that’s not visible to the eye so people treat it as just an excuse unfortunately. I was working 9-5, 3 days a week and the company was not accommodating whatsoever. I went home had a little cry and quit, they made me feel awful about myself and my disability.

My twin sister who’s gone through Enchanted Spa before, bought her own house, a new car and everything because they’ve helped her achieve that. After I quit my job I went to Kelly and asked what I could do as she was so accommodating for my twin sister (who has the same disability). Kelly told me about the Beauty Business Builder program. At first I thought I can’t do an online course I’m better with hands on work. But they’ve made it so it’s still hands on and you’re learning the exact same way you would in a class and I’ve never looked back since I’ve started. They don’t just show you how do to something they show you why as well as how and everything in between.

Hands down the best thing I’ve ever done. You run a busy life? That’s no problem, you do this on your own time while they still encourage you. You’re unwell? That’s also fine they put your health first before anything but still give you that little bit of motivation to help you. If it wasn’t for Kelly and Enchanted Spa I wouldn’t be where I am today and I’m so thankful for Beauty Business Builder and everything they’ve done at Enchanted Spa. I can now actually say I LOVE what I do. – Sophia xx”
